cameraphone plus schoolgirl equals number two pose.

today was literally a day of dragging myself through class to get to mindless, aimless, pointless bowling with a bunch of people equally fed-up with school.

starting out the game with a strike put me in a lead that i failed to keep. perhaps i shouldn't have been holding that chip in my left hand while bowling the third round. it totally threw off my positive chi.

physics wants me suffering and dead.

on a lighter note, wendy's phone insisted we camwhored today. INSISTED.
in my defense, i took about four pictures. nigara and wendy on the other hand...
well, they camwhored at AMF, on the bus, back at school, on the oval - the list goes on.

so here are the schoolgirl idiots...

and i'll try to keep smiling.

nemo has bulging eyes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICK!!

there's this young couple that comes for waffles quite often when i work on Tuesdays. they're an unlikely couple - the guy's a pretty big, awkward looking asian; the girl's a petite caucasian, cute as anything. but as peculiar a match as they seem, they've been together for quite a while, and it's always nice to see them together.

anyway, this couple always orders a large waffle to share, and last night the guy came to order as usual. only, the girl wasn't with him. she was standing alone at the rail, waiting for him. only, he didn't go back to her after he'd ordered. he stood in front of the store waiting.

call us busybodies, but we found this really weird. and we thought they had a fight. Mich felt bad cause she thought the girl was upset that the waffle was taking so long to get there. and when the guy finally got his waffle, he went to sit near the girl, who was still standing.

he offered her some waffle, she declined. she said something to him, with her arms crossed over her chest, he ignored. then she put her jacket on, and walked away.

we were all strangely heartbroken.

the guy calmly finished his waffle, then stood up, returned the plate, and walked out in the opposite direction.

quite a while later, the girl comes back alone, looks around the food court, then walks up to us.
"could i just quickly get a bottle of water?"

i think that was the moment we were all truly shattered.

we tend to form attachments to certain customers; we see them all the time, we remember their orders, we know just how they like their coffee, we know where they'll sit.
it's weird when something changes; like the time one of our customers died, or when a bunch of them left perth.
i guess we all like regularity in our lives.
too bad shit happens.

for someone who wouldn't know it

[edit] 18/4/2007 1:37 a.m. people have been coming to me after reading this post and asking me whether or not i like the person mentioned as more than a friend. that kinda spoils the ideal, don't you think? so before more people ask, no, i do not have a crush on this person. the relationship is purely platonic, ok?

it's amazing how some people can be so selfless.

and at the same time, so stubborn.

someone recently told me that a friend of mine has been going through a few difficult things in her life. i already had a feeling about this, but he gave me the specifics and expressed his concern for her. and man, that concern.. you can tell it's really eating him up inside.

what he didn't mention, however, was that he had his own worries and stresses much closer to home. he's got his own stuff to worry about - and this is real stuff, not some stupid mid-term - but he's still worrying about somebody else. worrying about how she's feeling on top of all his own things.

and every time i talk to him, he still gives me a huge smile, tells me everything's going well in his life, because he's just that type of person. he truly sees the sunny side in every broken up yolk.

he'll assure me that he's doing brilliantly, then ask me how i'm doing. and no matter what i tell him, he'll say something encouraging; whenever i happen to be down, he'll cheer me up again. and you know what? it always works. he tells me sometimes that he feels really bad for his friend who has a particular problem and has confided in him, and you can see how much he cares in the way he talks about it.

he is one of the few people in this world that i will say nice things to directly. because say it any other way and his modesty and humility will get in the way. spell out his good traits for him and he'll blatantly deny them - he'll say you lie. he's just like that. and his selfless-ness will never let him talk about him so somehow he's always solving your problems for you.

where can you find a friend like that?

i'm not sure if you know who you are, because it would be just like you to think "wow, what a great person. wish i could be more like him". cause things like this just fly over your head. but for what it's worth, there's a lot of people out there who have more than just a little to thank you for.

you're really something, you know that?

fanny

it's amazing how some people are so... i dont know.... confident.

sharon fan is one of those people. she speaks her mind and doesn't give a crap about what the world thinks of her.

sharon be the one on the left. what clear skin she has XD.

anyway. today, i told her that the PE teachers were talking about the best baddy players in the year group, and they said she was one of them. i was really excited for her, but she was just like "so?"

"SO??? IS THAT ALL YOU CAN SAY?"
you have to understand. i suck at sport, and if anyone were ever to say i'm good at it, i'd be straight through the roof and out onto jupiter.

so i found it kinda amusing when she said...
"i already know i'm pretty good. i take lessons outside of school. most people don't."

i started laughing.

"i'm serious, i know i'm good."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

i love sharon.

jez

sennie and jess. at school, some time last year.

i found this on my computer. it's not one that i took. i can't remember who took it, but i like it cause they're so damn happy in there. they'd both argue they look crap, but honestly... HOW HAPPY DO THEY LOOK? ok, sennie might look a little pained there, but still...

i've got another one of jess and may where they're smiling EVEN BIGGER, but jess would totally kill me if i put that up. she'll strangle me, then drain all my blood out through tiny little needles like the ones they use in acupuncture. ok, she's probably not violent enough to think of that. but she does do taekwondo [or however you wanna spell it].... which is scary cause she's 5'1", 90 pounds, but punches like a 7 foot 300pound wrestler. one shot to the solar plexus and... woooh... worse than getting impaled on a flagpole.

I'M SERIOUS... and it's not like i'm so weak that a 40kg thingy can hurt me... even moey is intimidated!!! [you know it's true, man]. and i'm sure some of the other guys have been punched before too.

so let me introduce you to jessica, one of my buddies at school. jess is one of those really bubbly people who seem to make an awful lot of noise considering their size. ok, to be fair, she's grown A LOT since i first met her... like, 3+ inches or something. but she still weighs about the same, which is slightly unfair to those of us [i.e. me and sarah] who always have no idea what we weigh cause it keeps changing.

steph and jess in dance.

jess is very cute. no, i'm not gay, ok? she is. she's the kind of person who's never gonna run out of friends, simply cause... she's jess? i don't know. you know those people you really really hate because they're all rounders? jess is nice[ish] XD. she's good at school. she's good at sport [except soft cross, which we both REALLY suck at]. she does dance. she's cute. she's friendly. she radiates energy. she plays more than 2 musical instruments. she has a cute little brother. she goes to church. she... she... err... sings?

ok, this is as much of being nice i can take for the next month. i gotta go eat something now. damn, being nice is exhausting.
